Fatigued by the constant pressure to do more? Me too, and it's okay.

I wake up, have my breakfast, drink my cup of coffee, and then I start scrolling through my Instagram and Facebook feeds.

What happens next is what happens to many people these days: fatigue and a sense of overwhelming pressure.

I feel bad for saying this but seeing people flaunt their travel photos, new purses, new cars, and wealth is tiring. This constant sense of competition creates a lot of negative feelings for many people.

What makes it worse is people preaching how they've made this fantastic successful life for themselves — the reality is a bit different because people don't share all the struggles, inherited privileges, and other factors.

Watching others live their life is difficult, especially if you are just stagnating. There's this silly but powerful "growth mindset" movement. I mean, I'm falling for it too, and I think it's beneficial when you need motivation.

However, changing your mindset isn't an overnight task, and it takes a lot of work. But you know what? It's okay to stop growing sometimes — at least temporarily.

You know what? You’re not a flower, you don’t need to keep growing and then wither away — you can keep growing your whole life at your own pace!

There's a constant sense of pressure — I'm sure you can relate to at least a few of the following:

  • live a more exciting life
  • earn more money
  • find new career opportunities
  • get side hustles going
  • work out
  • eat healthier
  • travel
  • stay busy
  • be better than others
  • slay the crypto & NFT thing (can you tell I'm clueless?)

It's perfectly normal to have a great detailed productivity planner (I do, too), but it's also okay if you just don't get everything done.

But let's just take a step back and re-evaluate why society values busy "do-it-all" individuals.

Sure, these people are productive and contribute to the economy but at what cost? Now, more than ever, being happy is more important because we've all seen how life can change in an instant.

The world is no longer what it once was, and in some parts of the world, we are still living under various restrictions.

Traveling and showing off your amazing Instagram content isn't as easy as it was — just think about the documents, tests, and other things you have to do before you hop on the plane.

Therefore, it's only fair to be gentle with yourself and be content with doing as much as you can without feeling all the unneeded pressure.

If you want to learn more, grow, and improve your life, I recommend reading as much as you can. Read more non-fiction, self-help, and business-related books.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to develop, grow, and focus on being happy rather than "successful."

It's also fine if you are tired and exhausted by everybody's success and society's pressure to do more. There's nothing wrong with doing things at your own pace.
